Never Wake The Morning.

Have I never been so happy to listen,

To whatever it is that you have to say,

I have never been so excited as to see you,

Every morning and every day.

--

I want to walk with you now and always,

To when we can no longer see, blind,

I want to know you, to laugh with you,

To know that you are still kind.

--

I just want things to be this way forever,

But that hopeless wish will soon die,

With the waking of the morning,

And with a lover's forbidden sigh.

--

When the morning wakes we'll breathe again,

A breath that was never to be taken,

And we'll walk the day as friends,

Until nightfall then awakens.

--

When the morning wakes we'll close our eyes,

And for them we will stay apart,

And I long to see you in the sunshine,

In the mornings of my heart.

--

So will watch you in the shadows,

And hope that you won't notice me,

So we can lie for just a little bit longer,

Until we are forced to see;

--

That what we share wakes the morning,

A morning so cold and full of regret,

It lightens everything we refuse to see,

So that we wish we had never met.

Um. Underneath the every day acts there is something that could be wonderful, but there are too many things that are keeping that something wonderful from coming out of the shadows. A relationship afraid to start because those involved are too afraid of change.
