Before they fall into the abyss,

unspoken dreams await them;

they sight unto the heavens,

their heavy hearts aflame.

What disastrous misleadings

lie in wait for their possession?

They’re so naive, they are

and that will leave them broken.

Do not punish me for you know me

to be a sinner.

For sinners too have hearts

however darkened that they are;

however unclean they must be.

For all hearts can love and feel sorrow

and regret does fill my mind.

It suffocates.

These are the times

when one must beg forgiveness

before it is too late,

and their grace must be denied.

Save me,

and do not let me die.

Do not leave me wait upon the precipice of despair.
