Peak Night

We felt the earth beneath our feet
The dirt, the grind between your toes
The subtle moonlight drifted all night,
The subtle tilt of your nose,
As we kissed on treacle ground,
The earth kept spinning without a sound,
And one day closer to your final week,
And i can't help but think my life just peaked.
