Heclus
Chapter 18
The Varnari drifted in space for day after day. Dax nor Missie had no idea where to go. His sister took over all responsibilities of flying the ship and almost everyday she fought Dax away from the cockpit. She wanted to fly and pilot it and didn't want anyone else but her to do it. Uni stood back and laughed at the two fighting, like brother and sister. It was when they were kids, Dax showed his sister something. Soon she knew everything about it and perfected it and wanted Dax to not touch a thing.
Nights is where they discussed on a course of action. Strangly, no one had no course to take. Most meetings were where Uni and Missie would listen to Dax about his many stories. The stories of his days in the KORG, where he fought off the Nenizi and the Licyians. The adventures he had went the Lone Wolf and the Nenzi Elite. And everything else that led up to his arrival on Leafpoint.
The most famous characters in Dax's stories were Nomac and Spirit. The two girls loved spiritual energy and the other world. Nomac, a demon from the fiery pits. Spirit, a noble sorceress and a kind old lady. Missie and Uni loved them most of all because, they made Dax go back to Leafpoint. And that was the most important thing. So they had a strong tough soldier to keep them safe and loved dearly.
Dax kept to his training, he knew he had two set of eyes watching him. Missie's reasons that she admired how hard her brother worked and how strong he was. Uni couldn't get over on how well chiselled Dax's body was. And the more he sweats, the better. Uni drooled at the sight of Dax's chiselled body shimmering in the light as sweat ran like water down his body. Missie watched less and less, but Uni watched more and more.
One day, Uni approached Dax in the middle of one his sessions. She had a mischievous smile, Dax knew that meant. He turned his back on her. Uni couldn't understand why he rejected her each time she threw her self at him. She believed, he was still that shy little boy in Leafpoint. But it was that, Dax had other reasons. It was beyond simple modesty. He sacrificed so much to see her again, why would he refuse to have her finally?
"Your still that shy boy on the hill," Uni agrued, Dax turned to face her. Dax felt that it was being dishonest to Zack to be with his widow. Dax thought, she only wanted him for closure. She lost her husband and Dax was closest thing to her. For Dax, those were the wrong reasons to be together. If she wanted him for only those reasons, he rather stay loyal to his died friend.
"Its not that, I'm behind that," Dax started. "Its because of Zack. I can't be with his wife, his widow." Uni didn't aspect such loyalty and respect. On days in the Varnari, Uni began feeling the same love she felt for Dax. The love they had for each other, before the Trial. This time, she knew nothing would come between the two.
She knew that was one reason why Dax returned. He wanted to take her back. It melted Uni, to know she was the only girl this man ever loved. It only made her love him more. She had never loved any man more than she loves Dax. When she thought of her and Dax together. Her heart told her that they be happy forever. Children will follow and grand children will come. She wanted more than anything to be mother and be Dax's wife.
"I only married to forget my pain," Uni's eyes grow red. "I thought with Zack, I could feel again. But he only numbed my pain where I could live right. You always held my heart, no one else." Dax only thought that she lied to Zack, and used him. But she hadn't, all feelings for anything would be destroyed. She wouldn't be able feel again, she'd only be a empty shell with no emotions of any kind.
Dax knew what she wanted, and he wanted that too. The only thing Dax was afraid of, if he lost her again. The pain would devour him, its something Nomac had tried to do. He surpressed his feelings for the best. On the surface, Dax didn't seem human. He showed no affection or emotions for her. But the longer he was around her. The urge to be with her only intensified. Soon Dax won't be able to surpress it any longer. And he turned away from her once more. She was already crying, and left him to be his stupid soldier.
Missie was watching, and she was glad she wasn't an adult! The love game was to devastating if you lose. Boys were to complicated to understand. But she was also disheartened, knowing she'd be childless her entire life. She believed, she'll never experience true love. And to think about stuff of that sort seemed to open her deep hidden pains. Remembering the horrible nights when she was raped. It made her bitter towards men.
The next few days were slower than usual, but Missie was more content on listening to Dax's stories. She felt strangly intrigued by this Rapheal her brother mentioned. To her, he was noble and followed his morals. A truly honorable man, and very much like her brother. It was weird, she wasn't bitter to this man. She left urged to meet him and other feelings that only confused her. Uni knew that face and looked at Dax and wondered when he'd let go take her in his bed.
One day, Missie was bored to tears and watched Dax do his forms. Out of nowhere, she found the will to learn. Dax was surprised when she wanted to learn. He felt wonderful she wanted to take part in family tradition. Dax would gladly teach her. Uni warned Dax that she'd perfect it and becoming greater than the teacher. Dax agrued, martial arts aren't just about being the best. Also discipline, challenging one's self, and lastly power over the body. And important of all, it takes years to reach perfection!
Dax punished her with the endurance training. It was something he enjoyed watching his sister go through. Dax wanted to push her to verge of cracking. Its what a teacher does to make his students great. She could quit anytime she wanted, Dax repeated a whole bunch of times. But Missie was a stubborn one. How stubborn she was, Dax matched it with the intensity of the training. If she wanted to be perfect and better than her brother at everything, this where she'd accomplish that. Nothing Dax could do to her, nothing would make her quit. That attitude was a trait all Bak family members shared.
Uni adored Missie's spirit and determination. Dax explained that he was in her exact place, when he was in KORG. He only told that to Uni and asked to to kept it a secret from Missie. Its been almost a month of intense training, and each day the intensity mounted. When Dax ran out of exercise he threw at his sister, he started making ones up. He looked for the toughest exercises to make her them. And she done the exercises without complaining.
After a hard day of training. Dax would give wisdom to his students. Uni only watched and listened to Dax. Was there anything about Dax that didn't make her want him more? Anything he did, only made Uni want him more. To her, Dax was the perfect man. Her love for him, she felt fully and it continued to grow.
One night, after Dax was done training himself. He was beat, and looked to his towel to wipe off the sweat, but he couldn't find it. He looked all over his room for his towel he set out. He spotted Uni at the door of his room. She had the towel and tossed away. Dax knew there was no denying her this time. She stepped face-to-face with Dax. He just watched her carefully, wanting to see what she had in mind.
Uni grabbed Dax's neck gentle. She smiled as she dragged her hands down from his neck to his stomach. Suddenly, she pushed him back on his bed. Before he could try get up, Uni was on top of him. Dax only laid back, he felt his heart racing. His heart raced faster than he could ever make race with his workouts! She sat on his waist, cutting off all chances to escape. She leaned down to whisper something into Dax's ear. The breathing was extremely arousing.
"You can deny your feelings all you want to night," Uni whispered. "Its not going to stop be from having you in bed. Why deny yourself simple pleasures?" That night, those to made sweet, sweet love. It was Dax's first, but Uni already gave her own up to Zack. Dax didn't hold anything back that time.
That night, Dax didn't care if he lost her. He only cared about being with her now. All the feelings he held back, he let it all go that night. She was right, he couldn't deny himself pleasure any longer. Not when she was begging for it. That only made him want her more. They made love long into the night, straight into the morning. This is something Dax had dreamed about for far too long.
Since that night, all the following days. Dax felt more like a kid again, and so did Uni. To finally express each others feelings for one another. They were together at last. They shared the same love, it was true love. Dax opened up completely and Uni wasn't sad or in pain anymore. All the feelings she felt from Dax be gone, those feelings were gone after that one night. They loved each other.
Those two talked to each other a lot more, and even shared the same room. Life on the Varnari wasn't boring for those two enjoying each other. But didn't fit the scheme. Missie didn't know that feeling that her brother had for Uni. She wanted to experience that. The only person she ever wanted to to feel that way for, was the Rapheal Strongwind that Dax talked about.
The following week was filled with discussing a course of action. Still no ideas came to mind, Dax and Uni only used the time to flirt. Dax continued training his sister, pushing her even harder. Each morning, a new muscle was sore, but she pushed through that. And she was content in hearing more words of advise. One night, Dax brought him family and Missie was listening deeply. She felt, that her, Uni, and Dax grew very close these two months. They were family once again.
For the past few days, Dax was hard at work programming the nanonites for a special project. Dax had studied the female anatomy. He planned to program the nanonites procedure to fix whatever those stupid boys did to his sister. Uni stood by watching, a soldier and a scienctist, she laughed. It was a great mix. It was important to him that his sister completely happy. Dax saw how it affected Missie. He told her what he was doing. She was stunned and excited! She couldn't wait till he was done.
"Only a few more days giving the nanonites read-out of a nice healthy female system," Dax was glad he was almost done, but Missie was more glad. Her big brother was more loving at this point. Is it possible to care too much?
The rooms ran red in light! The alarms were sounding. Panic filled the Varnari. Dax and Missie rushed to the cockpit, Uni wasn't far behind. Dax couldn't believe his eyes. A planet was pulling the Varnari into it's atmosphere. Missie tried desperately to pull away, but nothing she worked. Dax looked at the charts and realized this planet isn't charted! They couldn't do nothing but let the Varnari crash land on the planet. All controls were shutdown, they were going to crash rather they like it or not.
On the planet's surface, a very desolate place. No sign of life. The once civilization must of been died for centuries. The land was torn up, the planet was in ruins. Out through the peaceful clouds was the plummeting Varnari. The ship fell as one giant ball of fire from the heavens. Crashing into the ground, the land begins cracking at rapid-speed from the tremendous impact. A rockslide buries the nose of Varnari. Debris blows with such force within a mile long radius. Boulders and pebbles fall from the sky.
Inside the cockpit of the Varnari lay three unconscious humans. They stripped in very tight, only thrusted forward powerfully from the impact. Everything was intact. A few hours pass, Missie coughs. A long pause, she lets off another cough. Her eyes snap open and looks to her brother and Uni. They looked fine. She unstripped herself and helped them out of their strips. They were awake and alright.
Not long after they step out of the Varnari, now that their ship is useless. Dax blamed all the dumb luck, but Uni quickly pulled him along. Missie and Uni were intrigued on exploring this new planet. Dax only agrued its a ghost planet, what is there to find! He started feeling ignored and excluded from the main group as he lagged behind. Missie and Uni were fascinated by this planet. A very advance race, but it all laid in ruins. Dax only seen such advance technology on Burosen.
The planet was a wreck. All its great building laid in pieces, giant mountians pulled out of the earth. All the wires and devices were ripped apart. Dax concluded that the race went mad, a great war or some freak disaester.A large piece of metal, words engraved onto the metal read "Heclus". The planet was Heclus.
Several hours of walking through the planet had dulled the once high spirits of Missie and Uni. Dax laughed at them and told them not to get excited. They didn't say nothing, only quickened their pace and Dax lagged further behind. Stupid women, Dax said to himself under his breathe.
At the midst of night, Missie found another ship in ruins. The ship was a little beaten and rough, but its hale was in perfect conditions. The Dax recognized the design! It looked to be a out of date module of the today's KORG Starcruisers. Dax eyes widened, this must mean something to Micheal. He urged Missie to look inside and salvage anything. She looked for documents and crew's log. She called everyone to listen as she played it back.
"... This Commander H. Lawerence, captain of the Falcon Oatis 18, year 3479. Luster, Victor, Syrus, Blaze, and Sindo had arrived at the home base, Tyblowness. General Spike has been planning to strike Verguedet and destroy the Seven Shadows while Luster with his son Blaze and his nephew Syrus. Sindo told me Syrus was her son, the father is Luster's brother, Markus. With those new rookies, Shadow is going to have a tough time.
"... Today in the hangar. Luster has began the Wolf Ritual. It is a ceremony to become true warriors of the Sinister Wolf. A ceremony that has been done for ages. Luster had set out two barrels of blue flames and handed the two rookies each a knife. Luster had cut the emblem into the hand which of the rookies had. The cuts were deep. Blaze received the water mark and Syrus the fire mark. Luster had them place their hands over the blues flames. For minutes they had to endure tremendous pain. The flames sealed the deep cut and the emblem was scarred forever on the hand. Lastly, he pressed each others palms together, father and son tradition. Now Blaze and Syrus were true holy warriors of the Sinister Wolf.
"... General Spike and Lt. Syrus Wolf were marooned on planet Verguedet. No one knew what happened to Luster's son, Blaze. Markus said he's died. We are highjacked by three of the most powerful presians in the universe. I remember them all. They were once part of the honorable Sinister Wolf, Markus, Rob, and Vin. They were suppose to be died! Now they go by Impervious Erosion, Magna Artimus, and Shadow. Now they are leaders of the evil Schlechters.
"... They took us to the capital of the United Universe, Burosen. Taking with them every single Schlechter warrior on their homeplanet, Jorest. There they fought the most strongest enemies I ever seen, the dreaded Hybrids. Markus and Rob had perished. Arian saved Vin from almost complete doom. As a last request, Vin was returned to the planet Verguedet.
"... The Hybrid have just destroyed the Earth! My whole family was on earth, those monsters! All my crew wanted revenge and Arian assured us that they would when they retrieve Lt. Luster Wolf. But Master Arian referred to him as the Darkened Wolf. Luster was always seemed stronger than his brothers, Markus and Rob. Everyone saw Luster as the only Sinister Wolf left, and the only one that is powerful enough to defeat the Hybrids. This satisfied the crew.
"... We arrived on planet Heclus. My superior officer, our Nagoki friend Arian Redasso has told me this planet was the home of the Cyborg Empire. We had just picked up Lt. Luster Wolf from the planet Koryus, the ape planet. Another passager on board was said to be the most important Sindo Viper. She was pergnant with Luster's daughter. Master Arian treated her like royalty.
"... The Hybrids had just killed Sindo! Luster has lost out it! He seems to bedrawing every ounce of his wind energy. Oh no! Three massive hurricanes! He's destroying Heclus! Ahhhhh... "
The log ended, no one knew what to think. For several minutes, the three were in complete silence. Dax understood the factions of the United Universe is now the Requiem Government. The Sinister Wolf is now the KORG Knights, but without the special power the Wolf Gene provided. Missie and Uni understood the pain of lose. They felt for Luster, he'd lost his son. The mother of his unborn daughter, killed by the evil Hybrids. And the Earth is gone, the origin of the human race.
Dax was stll shooked, his mind was completely blank from what he witnessed. He stood up and explored the corridors. He walked into the hangar section. There he found a two large barrels that were burnt, before them was old dried blood. He found a two knives, both stained with blood. It is where Luster preformed the Wolf Ritual and had his nephew and son become true holy warriors of the Sinister Wolf.
Dax left to search the billets sections. In one room, he found a chest under the bed. Inside the chest, was a beautiful kitana. On the blade was writing, it said "Bright Shining Warrior". Underneath the kitana, was a photograph. It was a photo of four people, two young men, a much older man and a mid-aged woman. Dax eyes widened! The older man was Micheal! And he stared around the room, looking back at the kitana. His heart raced at what he discovered.
" My friend Micheal is that Lt. Luster Wolf!" Dax yelled, Missie and Uni came running. "This is his room, he slept here with Sindo Viper. He raised his son and nephew on this ship!" Dax was in disbelief. It hit Missie and Uni hard, they felt for Micheal. He lost everything to those Hybrids. His whole family was killed by them.
It was too much! Dax walked quickly out of the Falcon Oatis 18. He needed air, but looking upon this desolate planet made it worse. He stared at the ruins of the planet Heclus. He couldn't believe the power Micheal possessed, Luster's power. He caused all of this destruction. Luster had lost his mind when he lost Sindo and his unborn daughter. How was all this possible? Why was he still alive? And why aren't the Hybrids? This was the true power of the Sinister Wolf.
Tears were in Missie and Uni's eyes as they stepped out of the ship. The Hybrids were monsters. All the suffering they caused, all the lives they took. They took everything away from Micheal, from Luster. Because of the Hybrids, Luster has no family. What is Micheal going to do about?
Dax dropped to his knees, his mind was racing. He couldn't handle it all. He started pushing around the rubble and wreckage that Luster caused. Missie and Uni only stood behind him and watched. Something moved out of the rubble! Dax was frightened and scrambled back. Their eyes grew huge. It was somekind of robot, it was badly damaged. It only had one fully functioning arm. It's torso and head remained intact, but rest of him was gone. Dax quickly got his nerve back and stood on his feet.
"...Help, help me... " Its electronic voice begged. Dax didn't know what to do. He didn't know if the robot was good or not. Missie and Uni's kind hearts couldn't refuse anyone in need. The girls started digging him out of the rubble. Dax quickly got up to and picked off the ground. The robot was dying. "Please, do what I ask. Its the only way to save me... " What chance did they have? So they agreed to follow his every instruction.
The damaged robot laid guided through the wreckage. They found themselves in a secret stairway that travelled deep into the planet. Soon they were in a room, a laboratory of somekind. A window showed a massive army! It was a great of cyborgs, Dax thought. The damaged robot could take it from here. Who was this robot? What did he have planned?
