WINGS

Gracefully skipping

across the skies,

So careless and free-

I wonder why...

Wings of cotton,

The color of white,

Silky as lace,

All in flight.

Everyone special,

Unique from their birth.

Why can’t it be,

Like that on Earth?

In the heavenly sky,

Away from all harm,

There is no terror,

Shock, or alarm.

In the arms of an angel,

There’s comfort and cheer.

Bask in the love

The angels brought here.

Hundreds of rainbows

Crossing the skies-

Meaning past rain to many,

But beautiful in my eyes.

Fields of gold,

Colors of wind,

Beast to beauty-

Forever,
