Chapter 1: Invitations (by the Dictator)

"Cass, hurry up!"

Cassidy grabbed her jacket, and ran toward her fiancé of 8 months.

"Egan, are you sure you want to go?” she asked.

"Yes, I'm sure. Now, if we don't get there, Julianna will eat all of the petit fors, and you know how much I like those things!"

Cassidy groaned. The two were headed for an Elementary School Reunion, and everyone from their 5th grade Quest class was going to be there. There were several rather famous peers among them. The most positively famous was Julianna Parker, who was a novelist, and the most negatively famous was their dear friend Hannah Frederick, who bombed Canada in a rental plane.

Several of her ex-boyfriends would be there, and one ex-girlfriend. They included Reginald Drake, Cameron Gregg, Bryant Jefferson, and Kathleen Henderson. And, strangely enough, of all of those, Kathleen was the most meaningful. They had dated through high school, and she hadn't seen her since their friend Madison's marriage. Kathleen was devastated when she found out that Cassidy was to wed.

But now, Egan was driving to 1923 Covington Street, the former house of Julianna Parker, and the place of the reunion.
