Nice Guys Finish Last

A friend once said
“Nice guys finish last.”
I met a nice guy.
He’s interested; I’m not.
But I call and see him
Learn about him to be certain—
After all, “he’s a nice guy”
They’re rare, like precious jewels
Yet,
When we talk, we have silence
There’s nothing in common!
What do I do?
I guess that he'll finish last...
