Dinner For Two
I toed off my bruised heels
And stalked your dogs from my window
I brandished a butcher knife to the candescent moon
And lopped off a piece of my tongue
I bitterly picked at the rugged cuticles of my nails
As I tore out the thin fingers beneath
I spat out my rancid entrails from behind my teeth
And lobbed my severed limbs at your door
I managed the sloppy mass onto a platter
And bleatingly lurched into your room
By the end of the night
I had a lovely dinner for two
(Fix your tie, love. We have company over.)
