Aren’t the lights bright?

Well there’s no use thinking about the lights. They’re beyond your control. So is the leak in the roof and the open window letting in that cold wind that chills goose-bumps on your arms. Weather’s like that, you know, unpredictable and uncontrollable.

You can’t see the crowd, but they can see you. Are they entertained? Are they bored and quietly filing out of the theater? You don’t know because it doesn’t really matter. They’re too busy working their own stages to pay attention to yours.
