"Who Am I This Time??"

Chapter I: Running Away From The Dead Edge Of Town.

"Mom, you seriously can't make me go." I beg, trying to persuade her otherwise. She doesn't listen, though. Never has.

"Lukas, you're going whether you like it or not. No buts, No discussions. Nothing." She replies, cutting me off in mid-sentence as I begin to question again.

My full lips form a pout as I lose, once again, the battle to keep me home over the summer. My mom has this wild idea that sending me off to a six-week camp somewhere in the craphole of Michigan will cure me of my "sickness." News flash, being gay isn't a disease. But, my thoughts aren't on why she's sending me to this retarded camp, my thoughts are on what Jayden will think about me leaving. He's liable to not be very happy... But then, a plan hatches.

"Well, can Lyss at least go with me??" I ask, my aqua eyes pleading. If my best friend goes with me, I think, it won't be as bad. Hell, Lyss and I could turn it into fun.

"You can ask, honey, but I will not pay her way."

SCORE.

--

Later that day, I drive my cheap ass navy blue Dodge Neon to Lyss's place to ask her to accompany me to the fab camp my mother has decided to send me to. Of course, like the true fag hag she is (maybe it's just because I threatened her bodily harm... eh...), she says yes and in a mere week, we're at her house packing.

"Do you think this would be okay to take??" Lyss asks me, holding up a plaid mini-skirt.

"Lyss, hun, I don't think you need to go for Glam. Practical, maybe. But not Glam." I answer, plucking a lacy, black thong from her open suitcase.

She scowls, snatching it from me, "Give me that."

I smirk as she throws it back into her drawer, opting instead for a pair of blue and black boxers I distinctly remember wearing on more than one occasion. That ho goes through my drawers (I mean that in both senses) more than I do!!

When she's done, she hoists her puke brown suitcase onto her thin back, smiling cheekily at me.

"Ready." She announced. I grin back to her as she chucks the case into my trunk. For being a girl, Lyss sure packs light. Hell, I pack more shit than she does. Well, I am quite fabulous, if I do say so myself.

"Let's go back to my house," I say, "I'm not done packing and I could use some chocolate."

"You sound like a chick when she has PMS." Lyss giggles as she plops down into the passenger seat.

I wink to her, placing my sunglasses over my eyes as I drive off.

--

When we arrive back at my house, Mom and Lyss exchange their usual greetings of hugs and polite-ness. It’s not long before I feel nauseous and drag Lyss up to my room.

“I thought we weren’t going for Glam, Monarch.” Alyssa smirks, handling a pair of my silkiest boxers.

It’s my turn to smirk, “I wouldn’t touch those. You know I don’t wash after Jay handles me.”

Lyss shudders and gags, dropping the pair back into my suitcase.

“Well,” I start, “I’m done. Now all we have to do is say good-bye to the shitty people in this shitty town. Then, it’s off to Michigan!!”

“Thursday, right??”

“Yeah, two more days until it’s bye-bye sun and surf, hello freezing ass snow!!”

Boy, I’m excited.

--

“So, you’re leaving for sure??” Jayden asks me, the rhythmic swaying of our bodies on the swing slowly lulling me to sleep.

I sigh, “Yeah.” I leave it at that, not wanting to bring up the subject again. It hurts to know that I’ll be away from the boy I love with all of my heart.

My head bows and I let my fringe obscure my ocean eyes. Jay sets his head on my back and wraps his arms tighter around my waist.

I don’t know if you guys have ever tried to sit on someone’s lap on a swing, but it’s hella hard.

“I’ll miss you.” Jayden whispers. I can feel the vibration in his throat and it calms me.

Suddenly feeling angered, I snap, “Will you??”

“Of course, Monarch. I love you.”

It’s not the first time he’s said it to me, but this time… it seems different.

“Do you really mean it??” I ask again, my tone still a sliver of ice. He cringes.

His arms tighten some more, making his chest collide with my back. I can now feel his heartbeat. It’s irregular. Sometimes, it beats solidly for a minute, then it’ll skip a few. I think I remember him telling me that he had a scare when he was little.

“Look at me??” Jay asks more than he commands, which is what makes me love him more.

I turn in the swing until my legs are around his waist, our faces close together.

Jayden smiles sweetly, “I love you more than anyone. Yes, I was a jackass in the past. Yes, I regret it. No, it will not happen again. I’m yours, wholly… forever. I swear it.”

I lean down to brush our lips together, his tongue teasing mine. God, I love the way he kisses. It starts out slow, innocent. Then he gets a little heavier… then we’re sucking each other’s faces off.

Sigh…

“I love you, too, Jay.” I murmur, leaning my forehead down to his.

“You have anything else to say??”

Oh, he knows me too well.

“Actually, I was wondering why.” Our eyes connect, becoming the ocean and the sand.

“Why I was all over Nikki??” He asks.

“Yeah.”

“It was a mistake. I thought that I could have you both. But, I realized just how much I hurt you with that one little mistake. I never wanted to see you cry again.” Jay reached a hand between us to cup my already tear-streaked cheeks. He was a musician at heart, and had a wonderful way with words.

Or, he did in my opinion.

“You still want just me??” I have to ask. It feels so good when he tells me that he wants me and only me.

As cocky as that sounds on my part.

“Monarch, I wouldn’t stay with you if I didn’t.”

I smile, “Good answer, stud.”

We laugh together, then I curl up on his lap. He asks me to stay with him tonight, just us two.

Hey, I’m a virgin, thank you.

In response, I pull out my mobile and begin to text Lyss. I’m a fucking master at texting, so it isn’t long before we’ve established that if anyone asks, I’m over at her place.

“Now,” I murmur to his lips as I put my cell away, “where were we??”

A.N.:Yaay!! I’ve finally gotten my lazy bum around to typing this!! Just… nineteen more chapters to go now!! XD

This is my VERY FIRST finished story, so it’s kinda old. Like… February old. X3 So, I apologize for the suckiness of this story. I’m trying to jazz it up a bit.

Plot doesn’t start until the end of chapter two.

Wow, I was good at getting plot out then.

Go me!!

Anyways, as always, review cuz you love me!! And Mon and Jay… and Lyss, if you’re like that. XD
