Broken Can’t Repiece

Her skin is porcelain white

She stands tall and proud

Her eyes are like bleached seaglass

Fading in all their cracked glory

Her hair is so pale and blonde and fine

Her slender figure outlines the bones and veins

She has seen lives come and go

She has seen far more than her eyes betray

She has felt love and lust

She has felt far more than her heart dares show

She has spoken treachery and betrayal

She has spoken far more than her mouth gives away

She has changed from angel to devil

She doesn’t know what happened

She doesn’t know who she is

But she’s beautiful

And now she’s lifting the gun to her head

And now her body’s falling to the ground

Beauty in eternal rest.

Broken can’t repiece.
