This is dedicated to my friends Lina Salih and Olga Bessarab and my ever loving family.

Now many people would ask me “Do you have this latest watch?” or “Did your dad get you that expensive top at the mall.” I would always reply “That’s not what we have” And they would ask “What do you have?” I would then shake my head slightly, smile sadly and correct them. “What we have.”
Yes. What do we have? And the reply is simple. We have something to live for. You might then ask, then how come so many people commit suicide or live in depression. I answer this query with three small words. “They are lost.”
Take a moment and ask yourself, what do I live for?
Is it the family that supports me through and through? Whatever I do they are right there cheering me on even if I don’t hear or see them. When something horrible happens in my personal or professional life who is the first to offer a shoulder to cry on? Who offers me unconditional love?
Is it the special person in my life? The one I have devoted my heart and soul to. The one, who is with me through thick and thin. Who makes me feel tireless after a long day at work because their smile seems to melt my worries away . The one who I love to watch sleep and to whom I go for advice on almost everything. Who offers me everlasting love?
Is it my friends? Those companions I have made in my childhood and the more recent years in life. Those who I go to when I have a dilemma and who can make me crack up even when I feel the darkest shade of blue. Those who make my heart go at ease when I see them in a sea of unfamiliar faces. Those who always remember my birthday and even if I’m away they call and send me a greeting. Who offers me unlimited love?
Or is it my pet even? That cute, cuddly ball of fur which came to me in a Christmas or birthday present. Or that strong little animal I found in the stable one winter night. The one that can make me grin at its silly antics to get my attention or who nuzzles me when I’m deep in thought to then comically flip over on it’s back and ask for a belly rub. Who offers me unselfish love?
Did you just notice something? Everything you have thought of just now ends with love. Here is the final answer to the question asked earlier.
Love is what we all have to live for.
Go and appreciate what you have .
