“Throwing Caution Away”

As the first sign of love

Some throw caution to the wind

But between your heat and mine

It all comes back again

The distance was welcome

Although less often now

And the time we have to sit and talk

Was a trip to Paradise

No physical contact needed

To spur the moment along

But now it becomes apparent

That we’ve been apart too long

Needing you here

To hold me in your arms

Want you here

So I can kiss you goodnight

And since you’ve not come

I can sit here forever

Dreaming of a day in the future

When you will come to me

When I can hold you tight

And kiss you as well

When you can be with me

And I can say that I love you

Let’s throw caution to the wind
