(A/N: This poem was inspired by the book New Moon by Stepenie Meyer. It contains some quotes from it that I found inspiring and is kind of what I think was going thru Edward and Bella's heads during the book. It might not make sense unless you read the book first. Oh well!)

You were a meteor
Flashing bright across my dark sky
Lighting up my world
Brighter than any moon ever could.

The landscape caught fire
Blazing with your heat and light
Shining with an unknown brilliance
Sparkling off your gleaming eyes.

You were my life
When you were gone my world was dark
My eyes were blinded by the light
So without you nothing mattered

A hole ripped deep inside my chest
Torn open at every memory
Forbidden to remember, terrified to forget
It was a hard line to walk.

You had my heart
But you were gone and so was my life
All that was left was my empty shell
And a need for all things reckless.

My delusions saved me
Your velvet voice inside my head
My pulse racing at the sound
I felt almost normal.

A proposal.
A memory.
A lifetime.
