Raindrops emanating the tears on my cheeks

Staining the ground as my skin

Thoughts of you as constraint as air

And the light of the moon, my only comfort

The trees all straining to touch my shoulders

To wipe the tearstains from my cheeks

As the waves lap at my ankles

Just to ask how I’m doing

This is my day when you’re not here

So remember me as you’re not with me

Because that’s all I do when we don’t speak
