crippled, tangled roots of being,
unprivileged, yet still believing.
restricted, imprisoned freedom,
an unknown lone kingdom.

controlled, held bound within,
unable to detach the bondage pin.
forcing one’s way out, still feeble,
the futile stays not able.

silenced, forgotten by time,
stained crimson tears of dime.
relying on the palm of justice,
can’t comprehend where lies the peace.

tingling sensations of anew,
like the splendor of a morning dew.
faithless, though hope is frail...
the passion for freedom shall prevail.
