Homesick

While I am sitting in the dark

And writing what I know

I'm thinking about telling you

And hiding, really, so

The things that I might ask you do

Won't come as a surprise

Because when I am all alone

I think about your eyes

And then your lips, and mouth, and chest

And further down I go

The most of you, and all the rest

Your skin - white in the low

Light of the setting sun

And darkened by the night

Your hand in mine, your weight on me

You ask "Are you alright?"

My answer, though always the same,

Is breathless as I speak

Your love for me is always there

But still you make me weak

The guy who I know little of

The boy I never knew

It's distant and it's difficult

This kiss from me to you
