Frayed Freelance Fantasy

Nightly terrors plague my mind
Of being hurt, left behind.
Bring me dreams of love and peace,
Help me these dark thoughts release.

Let me live inside your word,
As my ears have never heard
As sweet a voice, soft of true
Like my heart is faint and blue.

This choice is all yours, my dear
With you, though, I'll have no fear.
Sans your presence, I am through
And my death shall I pursue.

It's pretty obvious that you're going to say, "No"
That won't stop anyone from saying "I told you so"
