The calling

She calls my name

As I close my eyes

No one to save me

The darkness falls abruptly

--

She is everywhere

As I try to escape

No where to conceal

The light slowly dissipates

--

She speaks, her voice is rich

As I recollect my past

No pain or sorrow

My destination arrives at last

--

She takes my hand

As I take hers

No reason for haste

Yet the darkness still surrounds

--

She shows me the way

As I ponder why

No one need dread her

The now soothing black veil graces my skin

--

She whom I once dreaded

Whom did nothing terrible

Is now my guide throughout this voyage

Now my companion

That I will never be rid of.
