I Remember

I remember years of the same
And fields of black and white.
I remember waking up to sunshine
And realizing I saw in colour.
I remember falling in love to music
And dancing on sand.
I remember spiraling downwards
And seeing your face in the mist.
I remember emptiness and being hollow
And feeling as if I'd lost it all.
I remember being happy,
But never like this.
