Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust.
How was I supposed to know
that this was only lust?

You caressed my cheek so lovingly
and kissed me so suddenly.
Now I stand at the doorway as you walk into the night.

I cried day by day
in hopes of your return,
but I guess I should learn.

That this was just lust.
