Scarlet Letter

He sat there and loved you for so long
How could you do it, you put him through it
You wonder why he pushed you aside
But you deserved it and still don't get it
But life is too short to waste on the hurt
He tried to move on and left you without your whole world
Now you're lying in your room
Hands full of regret, how you left behind
Something well worth your time, to go find
Something you thought was better
So you remain in your hell
Dwelling on your scarlet letter
Maybe if you hadn't thought you had a second choice
You wouldn't have lost your first
Now you've ended up with none
Branded to your conscience
You can't take back the mistakes
Prepare for when it happens to you
Find that to yourself were you so untrue
