“A Memory, Just in Case”

Dancing to the beat of your heart

We move together in the dark of night

Swaying like the breeze outside

And whispering of the pleasures we feel

We could stay like this all night long

Watching the stars slowly move overhead

We could watch each other sleep

And keep each other warm inside

There is a certain joy to our understanding

One that most could never find

We never sought it, it came to us

So we will enjoy its presence and hope it stays

Can we stay together forever?

Can I have your heart to hold?

Will you take care of mine?

Will you take care of my soul?

Although I know you’ll never leave me

I wish to keep tonight in my mind

A memory to hold forever

In case out hearts are lying
