rain

drizzling down

splashing down with a soft click

on the sidewalk

outside my glass door

quenching the thirst

of the dieing grass

whose blades crunched

beneath my feet

not to long ago

-

Iam listening

from a distance

in the depths of my mind

wondering

why I am not quenching my thirst

-

when so man times

I have waltzed,

sung and danced

in the heavenly downpour

loving

the feeling

of drenched cloth

rubbing gently against

my dry skin seeping

into my soul

while I stare

at the ruptured water

beating rythmically

to the sound of rain

as it hits,

bounces and dances

on the ponds surface

while the fish

hide at the bottom

-

I would stand

until it ended

inhailing

the aroma

of heaven on earth

as it filled my lungs

washing away

all I have done

-

but,

not today

I've given that up

for your words

my sweet redemption

hoping somewhere

you are smiling

and laughing

and your eyes

as blue as the water

that graces darking sky

before nightfall

-

dawncomes

thinking of you

soon the moon shall rest

and the sunrise

will paint a picture

shineing through your window

hope,

dreams,

love,

the rain has stopped

I have not regreted

I will only hope

for you
