Arms

--

Her swollen waist resided where

The fence could stretch her limbs in two

With stakes to lift her weighted spine,

To pierce her heart, and slice her through.

Amber eyes are dulled to stone,

Her arms are strong but body-less;

They roam the hillside’s trees and roads,

And scare the bench’s occupants.

--

But her face is too pleasant for these senseless eyes

And her smile too pretty for my damned lullabies

And she screams as she hobbles for the cliffs and the core

All of Hell to unravel at the steps of my door.
