in this place is calm

I retreat here for peace

I need sleep but instead I ponder –

not normal pondering,

the kind that is unneeded –

but vast cosmic pondering

my mind soars through the garden that is God

I comprehend but a fraction of His love

I know that He sits beside me

I know He resides in heaven

I know…

I know…

What do I know?

In this time I can question all my assumptions

For in this place I find temporary peace…
