Shooting Star – To my Dearest

I’m walking slowly among the trees and the flowers

It’s dark all around but I’m not afraid

The Full Moon is watching over me, protecting me kindly

The tears are near, waiting for my bravery to break down

The loneliness and the pain are fierce opponents

Your heart was so pure, never lying, always caring

Your love was amazing, making my life a fairytale

You showed me how to love, you accepted me without hesitation

I gave all of myself to you, I was yours completely

I was so happy it was almost sinful

I remember when you left this world, giving me a last kiss of love before closing your beautiful eyes

Somewhere in my heart a warm place became cold

Something broke within me, a crack that spread all over

I’ve become blind to everything except the pain

I knew this time would come but it is still not easy to face it

I stop my walk and look up at the shining stars

Is anybody there to share my pain?

Suddenly a shooting star, bright and majestic in the dark sky

I stay still, my eyes full of wonder and my heart skipping a beat

A mystic feeling is invading me as my whole body is shaking

I’m overwhelmed with joy; your magic is still as strong and beautiful as ever

A faint smile is appearing on my face and my heart calms down

The peace and compassion of Mother Nature, I can feel them now

Somehow I know that, even if you’re not with me anymore

Somewhere, in a safe and happy place, you still exist

Now I will be able to live and cherish again

Knowing that you’re alright among the stars

My heart is still hurting but I’m relieved

I close my eyes and can almost feel your presence by my side

A bright, majestic Shooting Star

Whenever I see one it warms my heart

And brings back your memory
