A breaking heart beats still

Turmoil dictates the river's course

And paces the steady stream of thought in her mind

A sacrifice to make

To suffer silently

Or to speak and keep what was never rightfully hers

One for another

She must make a choice she cannot choose both

She cannot be pulled under by the current

Instead she makes the sacrifice

The flow settles and carries her on
