Forest: Because I don't write poetry about the good things that happen to me.

Nothing Lasts Forever
Maybe I’m over reacting,

But I only want to know,

Are you just pretending,

Or are you still my friend?

You certainly don’t act that way,

A playful slap, a poke, a nudge,

Friendship needs more than that,

More than just the occasional hug.

Why don’t you just tell me,

Has she tried to make you choose,

If that’s the case, I can see,

She much more popular than me.

But you don’t say a word,

You confuse me, mind and heart,

You just won’t tell me,

Why do we seem so far apart?

I get lost in my thoughts, wondering why,

And I can’t help but thinking,

I've lost you for good haven't I?

Oh, but nothing last forever.
