Oblivion
By: Bleached Roses

dawn bleeds in technicolor
explosives
washing over her intentions
-&- exposing what was festering under the skin:
the fragments of essence
d r i p p i n g
down her face.

with the sun rising now,
she has lost her elaborate disguise
of skulking deep within the crevaces of
eclipse shadows -&- carefully-crafted lies.

no, nothing was ever alright,
not for oblivion.

of course, you knew that, right?
you could tell from the shaking on the telephone that night
-&- the static as her footsteps paced out of service.

d r i f t i n g,
as you said she did.

d r i f t i n g
from her home,
.
