Splotchy Sunrise

Prominent brown eyes,

Smudged in omnipresent eyeliner

Not so complimentary

To the gentle roll

The natural curve

Of my eyelashes

Imitating the stubborn

yet blessed curve

Of my hips

Hips that never learned

To control their sway

When music rolls around

It’s like trying to

Keep a dolphin from

Waltzing with her waves

Forever dancing,

Grinning around crests and bubbles.

Leaping, crouching over a sunset,

Gray like the splotchy sunrise,

Watered down with pink horizon
