Disfigured creatures behind the closet
door
With dripping fangs and grotesque jaws
Tapping at the window, groans from down
the hall
These phantoms do night’s shadows
draw
Strange whispers on the wind calling
There’s ghosts crying in the ceiling
Monsters that the darkness brings
Murky thoughts and scary feelings
I know that they’re all there waiting
As I lie alone in my own bed
But these strange haunts are nothing
Against the demons inside my head
I have often been accused of having a highly overactive imagination.
