Summary: Whenever it comes to the end of August I think I'll always look back that number of years and then add one month - it was September 30th or something.. I'd rather not remember - because that was the day he told me they WERE back together, and that's what got me - that he hadn't told me before.

(31/08/05-06)

"Well summer ends and nothing lasts forever.." Annie, Vanessa Carlton.

--

I saw them waiting at the stop;

Running into their house together.

They kissed before they walked

Back home to where they were with eachother.

-

I dreamed to myself at night,

And forgot that he'd forgotten about me.

I hoped he hoped we might,

But a year once today, I think he forgot me.

-

I stood there as the years passed by,

And broke as I saw the next passage of my life.

What was it to you that I lived this lie?

You knew it hurt me as she claimed you another night.

-

You called me 'Stalker' 'cause I watched

What goes on in your house and you saw me staring

And my eyes went wide as you mocked

Me when I said, "Look at you, you wish it was me there."

-

I stood there watching the minutes fly,

And broke as I saw the chapters of your life.

"How could you do this to yourself?" I cried.

You said, "Well, maybe next time you will be mine."

-

And it felt so lonely in that house,

You didn't even care much when she would pounce,

I just stood and gazed with every ounce

Of passion, pain and melancholy as you looked a little through me.
