When the skaters leave we'll come at night,
Jump the cement ramps, let go and slide,
There's no need for wheels or friction.
Catch a movie at the crack of dawn,
Go swimming with all our clothes on,
And diss the emo kids and their afflictions.
We'll down drinks on the patio,
That cost too much and work too slow,
More than three a week constitutes addiction.
And we go cruising outside,
Under the sky open so wide,
Thinking that we're invisible.
And we feel everything so much,
That we just want to get wrapped up,
And people say we think we are invincible.
Summer's for the losers with the broken hearts,
Searching for all the lost time and new starts,
Living out our lives stranger than fiction.
And it's a brutal wake up call when you get it right,
Extacy to be out with friends for one night,
When the rest of the social sphere is contradiction.
Summer's for the losers with their eyes wide,
Taking caution, but taking any ride,
And if we go out with a bang, let's make it a big one.
And we go running so far,
Out of our way, under the stars,
Praying that tonight we can be invisible.
And the whole world comes down so hard,
We're dreading what we can't wait for,
And wishing that we could be invincible.
But we're so fragile. We're so weak.
We're doing anything to feel unique.
And some will fall and some will win.
And we will never be here again.
So let's take the end of these years,
And make the memories invincible.
Invincible.
