What have you done to me?

You’ve shown me the light so that I could see

All I never could before—

You’ve opened the door

To everything I kept locked inside

Everything I tried to hide

Emotions flowing out like a waterfall

I never knew it could be this beautiful

Now you’re going away

And my heart grows cold

As my tears dry up

And the door locks once more

What have you done to me?

You’ve broken my heart; now I see

All I ever used to know--

No feelings are to show

All are locked safe behind

My little door which none will find

Emotions tucked away, safe and warm—

Miserable, yet it feels like home.
