Silenced

I’m hurting, I’m aching, I’m burning inside

Yet carrying around an empty smile

The laughter, the innocence, the hope that died

I’ve grown sour and tired of asking why

My life; hanging from fragile threads

My eyes; not one tear they can shed

My heart; miserably breaking

My lips; silenced yet shaking

I want to scream, to leave, and to just pull away

I’ve Sworn out these games you still play

I’ve prayed hard at night for you to stop this act

And wish and wish, because I know I want you back
