Silent Invictus Note: Oh my gosh. I had inspiration to write a story placed on our time and world. That never happens. Creepy heh? Anyway Read review please!!! Have fun with it. I’m already thinking about the next chapter to. Yeh!!!! Continuing on…

Warning: This story will contain yaoi/slash/bay on boy material. If this offends you don’t read my story. I’ll be sure to give warnings of what is in the chapter here in the warnings section. Nothing for this chapter.

It was his first real Job interview. Yes the school board had sent him to this school because they needed a band director, so they had no choice really, but the Principal still had to conduct an interview. As the man with dark red hair walked down the hallway of William J. Lepedome High School, he shuddered with nervousness. Stopping in front of the door labeled “Principal Louis” he took a deep breath, clutching his papers, he reached out and knocked on the wood.

A muffled voice answered the knock so the man grasped the handle and let himself into the office. “Mr. Green I presume?”

“Yes sir. That’s me.”

“Please, have a seat.” The principal said, gesturing towards one of the comfortable chairs across from him. As the new man took a seat the Principal introduced himself. “My name is George Louis and I am the principal of this school.”

“Andrew Green,” He said introducing himself and accepting the offered hand, “though everyone just calls me Andy.”

“Well, even though the superintendent and the school board appointed you I would still like to conduct an interview and maybe show you a bit of the school.”

“Sounds great.” Andy replied evenly. (A/N: I’m skipping the interview here so don’t get confused!)

“Thank you Mr. Louis.” Andy said as he exited the building. “I guess I’ll see you Teacher’s day.”

“Yes, and I hope you like it here as well as England.” The older man replied with a smile. ‘Maybe, this year the school would have a decent band. Mr. Green seemed to be a very talented young man. And in that lay the real problem. He was so young. Just out of college.’ He thought to himself. ‘Still, the school board thought he was the most qualified so might as well give him a chance. This could prove to be interesting.’

Andy’s new home was a dismal affair. Yes, it was big enough but there had been no one living there for several years. Spider webs in the corners, paint peeling off the walls, and even though the wood floor was fairly new, it was desperately in need of a good finish.

As soon as he stepped off the elevator into his new home, Andy began thinking of maintenance and decorating. His family was rather wealthy and could have easily afforded to buy him a nice house, but since this was his first time living alone (he had had roommates in college) Andy wanted the place to be all his. He had ended up using the money that he had been saving since he was 10 from random jobs that he had picked up to buy his very own flat.

So his parents made the rule, that if he bought his own place, with his own money, they got to pay for any decorating that he wanted to do. Andy thought this was so that they would feel like they helped him get out on his own.

Well… at least the fridge and stove that came with the place work. I think just getting furniture up the lift will be hard enough least of all a fridge.’ Andy thought as he shuffled through boxes, that lined the walls of his soon to be living room, for cook wear and a plate.

Oh joy!’ he thought sarcastically, ‘grilled cheese!’ As he ate his meager dinner, he began to mull over what to do with each room of the flat.

All of the sudden a loud music began to boom upstairs, startling Andy out of his thoughts. He looked up and realized that the person, whoever they were, was blasting Social Distortion. Grinning to himself as he remembered the days when he listened to them and continued eating.

Stripping down to his boxers, Andy crawled onto the air mattress and lay on his side. Looking out the window at the stars, he sent a thought out to his family in northern Maine. He was so far from them seeing as he was now in Massachusetts. As he watched he saw a single shooting star flash across the sky.

Scrunching up his face like a small child the 23-year-old made a wish. He wished for something he had had very little of growing up. Friends. Little did he know… his wish was about to come true.

Review please!!! Be the first for a new story!!! It’s fun to read your name in the next chapter!!!
