Rain

The rain hits like thunder
Each molecule torn asunder
Internal organs all displayed
Oxygen's edges frayed

It tastes like salt and metal
but feels like hope that won’t settle
An anomaly out of place
Repeating so that time can’t erase

Ecstasy can’t go out of style
Just changes from while to while
We classify death and birth
But raindrops define our worth
