Pure Hearts

So many pains found in this world,

Some difficult to bear.

Innocence just fades away,

Like never it was there.

Pure hearts so hard to find,

But when they are they’re true.

Keep them close and don’t let go,

The same they’ll do for you.

They’ll help you through the times that hurt,

No matter how big or small,

And have your back when things are rough

From summertime to fall.

When you laugh, they’ll laugh along,

And help you face your tears,

And when you’re down they’ll help you smile

Through all your darkest years

The world may try to keep you down,

But try with all your might,

To stick close to your pure hearts

And surely win the fight.

Far from now when all is lost,

And all has had it’s end,

You’ll still be holding strong and free.

Because you had your friends.
