I am from . . .

I am from the street markets in China,

And my great-grandmother’s small, comfy apartment.

I am from my family’s songs, and acts,

From chopsticks, noodles, and rice.

I am from my group of friends,

From the laughter and jokes we share.

I am from the people I don’t like,

And the arguments we have.

Finally, I am from my dog,

Who loves me no matter what I do.

I am from the cartoons that we watch,

And the times we spend together.
