Master or Look-Out?”

Sable McPherson

I’ve been keeping it G for far too long
Time for people to see what’s going on
Hardly anybody sees the Hell we’re going through

Tons of blood splattered on the walls
Millions of corpses piled on the streets
This is a bloodbath we’ll never forget

Where is God when things go wrong
Is He the Master or the Look-Out?
Always sitting over the clouds
Seems like He’s doing nothing
Or maybe answering smaller prayers
Like the big ones are really hard to solve

People are oblivious to most of the deaths
Most of the people who think of suicide
They always believe they can’t trust anybody else

Ax murders, gunshots, sleeping pills, knife stabs
To hide it all, they tell others, “It’s an accident.”
Just because they don’t want other people worrying.

Where is God when things go wrong?
Is He the Master or the Look-Out?
Always sitting over the clouds
Seems like He’s doing nothing
Favoring the people faithful to Him
Instead of the ones who aren’t

There are thousands of people dying as we speak
A little girl who’s wondering why she’s ignored
Because her cries to God are locked out

But in the end, you will see
She’ll be saved by the One she called to
Never again will she think of dying

Where is God when things go wrong?
Is He the Master or the Look-Out?
Always sitting over the clouds
Seems like He’s doing nothing

God was always there when things go wrong
He’s always the Master, not just the Look-Out
Always sitting over the clouds
Always planning a way to get you out of trouble
He has always loved you
And He’ll do anything He can to keep you alive.
