Hidden Feelings:

I walk in

A heavy load on my shoulders

It's not just a bag that's holding me down

Expectations really make me drown

Suddenly, I find

My eyes mysteriously turn to the side

What is it that catches my eye?

The answer, frankly

Is you

It had been you

It always will be you

If I told you this, you might laugh

And even turn away

It's as if I've a sensor encrypted into me

Even under your mask

I could tell it was you

Even under your costume

I could tell it was you

I watch as you leap off the ledge

Diving into the water

Marveling at how quickly

You could fill my mind with peace

Did you know only you can do it?

I wish I could tell you this

But there's a little glitch

The problem is, you see

I'm afraid you don't know me

To you, I might just be someone else's daughter

Nothing special, as far as you can gather

I'm sorry if you feel that way

There's nothing I can do

But keep silent and watch you

Admiring your every move

Your strength and grace

Still astounds me till no ends

If you somehow notice me one day

This of you, I feel I must plead

Don't treat me like how you treat the others

Money doesn't matter to me

You being real is good enough

It's good enough for me
