Sister to Brother

Desiree Emme
August 28, 2006

He’s a baseball player,
I’m a gymnast.
He takes gymnastics,
I’ve taken softball.

We have our differences.
We argue about stupid things.
I see to it that I’m right
And that he’s wrong.

He makes dumb comments,
Sometimes they’re hurtful,
Other times he’s just being an idiot
And wants attention.

I use to make comments to him,
But now I don’t,
Because I know that it can hurt.
Usually the comments were true.

He’s favorited by others,
I am not. --
He gets the attention.
I do too..

Just not the attention I want.
He gets the love.
I get the hate.
It’s just how it is.

Yet, all in all.
When our differences are pushed aside
I’m his stupid sister,
And he’s my stupid brother.

And there’s no denying it.
I love him,
He loves me.
The brother sister kinda way.
