A single voice crying out

Amid a cacophony of others.

Lost among a crowd

Begging for recognition.

A single voice whispering

Among the warbling of others.

Lost inside the throng

Pleading to be heard.

A single voice dying

Underneath a mob.

Crushed beneath feet

Never once noticed.

Author's Note; I was reading a book, and the final lines just seemed to hit me. "Then you would see it for what it is: a single voice lost inside a great chorus of others."
