THE WINDOW

the window lies open.
the curtain flaps in the wind.
three figures sit on the sill,
the dull street lamp shining on their faces.
they smile as they talk about the
things that make them happy in life.
the smell of smoke and perfume fills the room.
they enjoy the feeling of the cool
breeze softly hitting their faces.
one in love, without no way to get out of it,
one in a relationship and enjoying it.
and the other just happy with the things
the way they are, but still unsure.
