In life, we sometimes do things we wish we could take back. I wish I could take back a lot of things. Things I've said and things I've done. I can wish to take them back but there already gone, like a verbal Dodo bird. Oh, I'm sorry that wasn't what I meant, let me hit the rewind button. But life doesn't work like that. Time doesn't bend or reverse, its stuck in drive. Driving us back into oblivion. Like a phoenix falling to ashes. Even the fabled Gods fall in time. They might not literally fall but they fall because there is no one who believes enough to hold them up. Inmortallity is just a pleasent concept because no one lives forever. Try as they might, they grow old and die off like leaves on a tree. Each new year brings both life and death. You never have one without the other. The preverbial circle crafts who we are, and who we become. And what we become is molded by words or actions that we wish were never said or done.
