This worlds so full yet its so empty,
So many thoughts and ideas here to tempt me,
Emotions lost in a world hard and cold,
Everythings so slippery theres nothing to grab hold,
Dreams and words are all I've got,
Alone pretending to be something I'm not,
Calm and peaceful on the outside,
Screaming and bleeding on the inside I've tried to hide,
Watching the news or reading the paper just to hear,
Crimes and deaths are always so near,
Mothers, brothers, fathers, daughters, sisters and sons,
Meeting their ends at the barrels of guns,
Money and power rule our thoughts thoughout the day,
The road to power is the only way,
Starving and poor are our only byproducts of war,
And it's left the world one giant soar.
