Chapter 7

Elijah’s POV

FLASHBACK IN A DREAM

“OH MY GOD!” I heard my mom scream from the hallway.

I shot up from my bed and looked over at Ethan’s bed. He wasn’t lying in his bed. I got out of bed and opened my bedroom door. I came out into the hallway to see my mom on the floor sobbing with her hands over her face. My dad was sitting beside her trying to calm her down. Elise was standing staring into the bathroom frozen as if she couldn’t move. I walked past my parents who were on the floor and past Elise who was standing by the bathroom. They all seemed to not notice me. I looked on the floor, blood everywhere, Ethan had slit his wrists. I kneeled down next to his lifeless body, I didn’t care my knee was in a puddle of blood. I lifted up his head and began to cry, as I held his head in my arms. My mom came into the bathroom.

“THIS IS ALL YOUR FUCKING FAULT!” she screamed at me.

My father tried to grab her to calm her down and pull her away from me, because she started smacking me upside the head. I laid Ethan’s head back on the floor and stood up. I pushed past my parents and the still frozen Elise and I left the house. I just started walking not really having a destination.

“Elijah?” I heard Lily say as she was trying to shake me away.

I still kept my eyes closed.

“Wake up Elijah…” she said still shaking me.

I opened my eyes, dreading the fact that I had that dream.

“You ok?” she asked looking at me concerned.

“Just had a bad dream…” I replied sitting up.

“Do you want to talk about it? Or what you said last night?” she asked trying to get answers out of me.

I was never the type of person to share my feelings, I like to keep them all inside and then eventually explode or have a breakdown.

“Elijah?”

“I don’t want to talk about it.” I said annoyed as I pulled my body out from under her arm and I climbed out of bed.

I sat on the edge of the bed and I felt her sit up and put her chin on my shoulder.

“I understand…but when you are ready to talk you know I’m here…” she replied.

I looked up and Ava walked into the room.

“Oh sorry… I just came to get something.” She replied walking past us.

I got up and went to the bathroom.

I went over and sat on the bed next to Lily.

“What is going on with you two? I came in here last night and you both were sleeping in the same bed…” I said hoping that nothing was going on.

“Nothing is happening yet. He is shutting me out right now. He will not talk to me about anything. I don’t know what to do. I can tell that something is bugging him, but I cant figure out what.” She replied disappointed.

“It’s probably me that is bugging him…”

“What do you mean you?” she asked confused looking at me.

“Well I kind of screwed things up with him a long time ago…” I said dreading to talk about this topic.

I dreaded this topic because it bugged me what I did and the fact that he could come out of the bathroom at any moment.

“What do you mean… He is from California and you’re from New York right?” she asked doubtful.

“Yes that’s true, but…” I started but I stop as Elijah came out of the bathroom.

He looked at me as if it killed him to look at me that I caused him severe anguish. Which was probably true, I felt terribly guilty about what I did to him and his brother. Elijah still stood there in the doorway for the bathroom. I guess he was hinting at me to leave.

“Well… I got what I need so I am going to go.” I said getting up.

“Can I talk to you later?” asked Lily still curious at what I was talking about.

“Yeah…” I said as I left the room.

I sat on the sofa dreading tonight’s results. I was probably one to go because I haven’t been nice to anyone lately especially Elijah.

“What is up slut!” replied Gavin plopping down on the sofa next to me.

“Hi ass…” I mumbled.

“Why are you so glum? Where’s the bitchy attitude where you like butt into everything and tell what you think?” he asked sarcastically.

I ignored him and continued to watch Travis and Will play gamecube.

“Hello… I am talking to you.” He said waving a hand in my face.

“What do you want me to do? Eavesdrop on your fucking sex talk with Clara! What the fuck is your fucking problem leave me the fuck alone!” I screamed getting up.

“Wow… Someone is Pmsing.” He said like a smart-ass.

“Shit! You bet me again!” replied Travis putting down his controller.

I laughed at the fact that he sucks at this game.

“Oh shut up…” he said standing up.

I turned around and Gavin and Clara were making out on the sofa. When Gavin and Emily were fighting, we figured it would be best to just ignore it, since she is probably the one to go tonight, well hopefully at least. Travis turned my head to face him and he smiled.

“What?” I asked looking at him smiling back.

He pulled my head to his and we started to make out.

I walked into the living room.

“What is this a make out session? Damn I need to go find a make out partner!” I said sarcastically.

No one noticed me as they continued to suck each other’s faces as I went into the kitchen. Just a few more hours until the results and probably Emily will be gone, hopefully because that girl is so annoying.

“Can we please talk?” asked Ava desperately.

“What is there to talk about?” I asked annoyed.

“This is fucking shit and you know it. It is in the past get over it and move on. I am sorry for what happened and I can’t tell you how sorry I am about it.” She went on a little longer but I started to block out what she was saying because it was her fault and I hate her for it.

She fucked up my life, there was no way to get it back or my brother, and nothing she could do or say is going to change it.

“Guys… results…” replied Emily with a constant tone in her voice.

I got up and Ava grabbed my arm.

“Elijah please…” she pleaded as I jerked my arm from her grasp.

“Don’t talk to me, right now at least please… not for a few days…” I asked as I turned around to go out of the room.

Ava followed me downstairs and into the results room and said nothing more to me. I sat next to Lily on the couch, she took my hand in hers, and I let her do so. Then Cassandra walked in with a note card.

“Hello everyone, I have some things to say.” She started

We all looked at her to continue.

“After what happened with the alcohol and Elijah ending up in the hospital for the day, I have to say this. The next person to go off the property to get alcohol and not groceries will be eliminated on the spot. You all are underage and it caused more damage than fun.” She replied annoyed and angry.

We all looked at each other and then at Gavin.

“So we are going to start with the favorite person of the house and that person is going to start of the key pulling.” She replied opening the envelope.

She struggled getting the card out of the envelope for a few minutes.

“Ok I got it. The favorite of this results is Elijah, so please start us out with the keys.”

I let go of Lily’s hand and leaned forward and pulled out a key.

“Clara.”

She sighed with relief.

“Like that awesome.” She said as she left go of Gavin.

She leaned forward and pulled a key.

“Oh yes! Gavin!” she squealed.

They kissed and then Gavin pulled a key.

“Lily.”

Lily looked at me and smiled. Then she leaned and pulled a key.

“Travis.”

Travis looked at Will worried although I bet he knew he was safe because he was favorite last results. He pulled a key.

“Ava.”

She leaned and pulled the last key without saying anything. She looked at it for a minute.

“Will.” She replied with a sigh of relief.

Emily burst into a sob, everyone looked at her somewhat sad for her but then also relieved.

Bevy: Awe yes look at them so cute!! No you can’t hurt her yet. I hope this was interesting for you lol.

Kumiko Mitsuko: Yes damn Gavin! lol yes I bet you did. I hope Emily getting kicked off made you happy!! It took forever too because I had to have someone break the tie for favorite!! lol Sorry your Will wasn’t the fave. Maybe next time.
