Little boy knight

Watch me swing on a kite,

With your silver-star eyes,

Like the moon when she dies,

And whisper me stories of long love and glories

That passed, one time long ago.

Little boy knight,

With your heart filled with light,

Dance ‘till the sun rises,

Drinking good ale

From the center of irises,

Please, lay back, I will too.

Little boy knight,

I’m a girl of the night,

And though I’ll love you ‘till death-

Beware who will share my lips,

Who I’ll let tear my hips,

Watch out, I can’t help myself.

Little boy knight,

You see it’s this thing,

And I love you like life,

But if you don’t keep a good hold,

I’ll fly away on fragile-looking paper/plastic wings,

much stronger than they seem.

But not strong enough for me to take you with me,

Little boy knight,

so if you really love me,

hold me tight.

And don’t let go.

Little boy knight,

I think we’ve made it this time.

Running over golden hills

and fighting battles,

draw your sword and draw it quick.

Hold on to it like you hold on to me.

And don’t let go.

the italicized part was written by my writing buddy for years/fantastically close friend Valentine’s Disease. i couldn’t have finished it nearly as well as she did, she helped me out of the ditch I was in by the time she read what I had.
