Wandering Lost

8/27/06

Wandering, lost—

Hoping to be found by

Someone, anyone.

Music plays,

Lyrics mimic and mock my

Sadness my

Sorrow my

Pain my

Loss.

Loss of the one that could be the

One.

One for all eternity,

One for all my tomorrows.

But tomorrows are

Filled with the misery of

Knowing I’ll see her not again.

Unless—

Unless fate, sweet cruel fate

Will intervene and

Bring together

Two broken hearts

Once again.

But now—

Open space crowds in,

Tears slide down

Half a heart

Never to mend,

Never to mend—

Wandering lost.
